What is Oxybutynin

Oxybutynin is an antispasmodic drug that has a significantly higher pharmacological antispasmodic effect than atropine. It acts on bladder smooth muscle, reduces bladder smooth muscle contraction and relieves bladder dysfunction. It alleviates the symptoms of urinary frequency, urinary urgency, urinary incontinence, nocturia and enuresis caused by reflux neurogenic bladder. Also, because it increases bladder capacity, prolongs the interval between urination and reduces the frequency of urination. When taking this drug, some patients can see symptoms such as drowsiness, vertigo, insomnia, etc. It can also be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, constipation and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
