It is possible to cure stomach cancer in the middle stage. For any kind of cancer, we can simply categorize it into early, intermediate and advanced stages. Intermediate stage gastric cancer usually refers to gastric cancer patients who are neither early gastric cancer nor advanced gastric cancer, i.e., patients who are neither very early gastric cancer nor distant metastasis. The evaluation of the curative effect of gastric cancer is usually based on the TNM stage of International Union Against Cancer (IUAC). The cure rate of patients with TNM stage I usually reaches more than 80%, while the cure rate of patients with stage II is more than 50%, the cure rate of stage III is more than 30%, and the cure rate of stage IV is less than 10%.
