Minimally invasive surgery for celiac disease does not require hospitalization and can be done on an outpatient basis with microwave, freezing or laser. The goal of the treatment is to cauterize the eroded surface of the cervix and then cause the erosion to scab over, allowing new tissue to grow and the old scabs to fall off. The healing process takes longer, about 2-3 months. If the erosion is deeper, the healing time is longer, and the opposite is shorter. The procedure is relatively short and can be finished in about 3-5 minutes, so you do not need to be hospitalized to do it, just do it on an outpatient basis and go home afterwards.
