Gynecological examination includes two major categories: 1) routine gynecological examination: clinically, it means that doctors conduct gynecological examination on women, including examination of female genital organs such as vulva, vagina, cervix, uterus and adnexa, to roughly determine the basic condition of patients; 2) auxiliary gynecological examination: common examination items include routine examination of white belt, ultrasound, sex hormone examination, cervical cancer screening and other items. Further examinations include colposcopy, hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, etc. If a gynecological examination is performed, it is generally not appropriate to do so during menstruation. Women are usually advised to go for routine gynecological examinations after having sex. If some women experience vaginal bleeding after intercourse, they must be screened for cervical cancer because the usual clinical manifestation of cervical cancer is vaginal bleeding after intercourse.
