Early symptoms of esophageal cancer

About 300,000 people worldwide develop esophageal cancer each year, half of which occur in China, about 150,000. The typical symptom is progressive dysphagia. However, early symptoms are easy to ignore and delay the disease. As the esophagus serves as a channel to transport food, esophageal cancer symptoms only occur when food passes through the esophagus. In normal life, people usually do not pay attention to the process of food passing through the esophagus. At the early stage of esophageal cancer, there may be conscious symptoms such as tingling, stagnation, blocking, choking and post-sternal discomfort when eating coarse and hard food or taking large mouthfuls of food, etc. At this time, we should pay great attention to them and go to hospital for upper gastrointestinal barium meal examination or electronic fiber gastroscopy.
