Blurry eyes after looking at cell phones for a while are commonly caused by presbyopia, dry eye syndrome and visual fatigue.
1. Presbyopia: the elasticity of the lens is weakened due to old age, therefore, when looking at a cell phone and other close-up objects, the lens cannot be thinned through adjustment, which leads to poor near vision.
2. Dry eye: after looking at the cell phone, dry eye patients will speed up the evaporation of tears, which may lead to the instability of the tear film on the surface of the eye, thus, it will affect the vision.
3. Visual fatigue: prolonged close reading of cell phones will lead to ciliary muscle spasm, and accordingly, visual fatigue will occur, manifested as blurred vision.
It is recommended that patients seek medical examination in time to clarify the cause of the disease.
