1. Liver qi multiplying the spleen syndrome: it is caused by the dysfunction of liver’s excretion and spleen’s transportation function, manifesting as depression, irritability, every time due to depression and anger, or emotional tension and diarrhea, chest and ribs (chest and ribs part of the general term) distension and stuffiness, little food, belching (belching), abdominal pain, intestinal tinnitus, farting and other symptoms. 2. Weakness of the spleen and stomach: caused by overwork, dietary factors, old age and weakness, too much thinking, and the first recovery from a serious illness. It manifests as loose stools, recurrent diarrhea, diarrhea after eating greasy food, or undigested food in stools, little food, fullness and discomfort in the stomach and abdomen, and tiredness and fatigue. Treatment may include Ginseng Ling Bai Zhu San.
3. Certificate of insufficient middle qi: it is due to further attack of spleen weakness, prolonged diarrhea, prolapse of organs, prolapse of anus, etc. The treatment should be tonifying the middle qi (treating qi deficiency by tonifying the spleen), and the formula should be tonifying the middle qi, tonifying the middle qi, tonifying the middle qi, etc.
