Symptoms of glioma mainly include symptoms of increased intracranial pressure, localization symptoms, epilepsy and so on. 1. Increased intracranial pressure: due to tumor occupying effect, peritumoral cerebral edema and other reasons. Patients may have headache, which is aggravated by waking up in the morning, coughing and defecation, and relieved after vomiting; patients may also have vomiting, which occurs mostly in the early morning, and is in the form of projectile vomiting; patients may have optic papillary edema, which may lead to vision loss. 2. Localization symptoms: localization symptoms are mainly related to the location of the tumor, such as central anterior and posterior gyrus tumor can lead to motor disorder, frontal lobe tumor can lead to mental disorder, occipital lobe tumor can lead to visual field disorder, tumor invasion of hypothalamus can lead to endocrine disorders; saddle region tumor can lead to visual acuity and visual field disorders due to the compression of optic nerves, and so on. 3. Epilepsy: epilepsy is a common symptom of glioma, and it is the most common symptom of low grade glioma. Most epilepsies present as focal rather than generalized seizures. Spike and spike waves of seizures can be monitored on EEG. For patients diagnosed with glioma, they should go to the relevant departments of regular hospitals and be treated under the guidance of professional physicians, so as to avoid delays and adverse consequences.
