Can gynecological diseases cause back pain

Clinical gynecological diseases include many types, such as gynecological tumors, gynecological endocrine, gynecological inflammatory diseases and other diseases, which have a high incidence and affect the physiological health of most women. Obstetrical and gynecological diseases are known to cause back pain. For example, inflammatory diseases of the pelvis, cervix and vagina, uterine tumors, ovarian tumors and so on. The more common of these, first of all, is pelvic inflammatory disease. Pathogenic microorganisms entering the pelvic cavity through the vagina and cervix can lead to diffuse pelvic inflammation. When pelvic inflammation spreads to the surrounding peritoneum, patients may feel discomfort in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral pain, and also have accompanying symptoms such as fever and abnormal vaginal discharge. In addition, some gynecological tumors can also cause back pain, such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and so on. When the gynecological tumor is large and further presses on the sacrococcygeal area, symptoms such as swelling and lumbago can occur. Therefore, when the symptoms of low back pain appear, patients can consult the obstetrics and gynecology department to exclude the low back pain caused by obstetrics and gynecology diseases, in addition to the lesions of lumbosacral joints and muscle ligaments. As mentioned above, certain gynecological diseases can cause low back pain symptoms, and patients need to seek timely medical attention to avoid delaying the disease.
