What to do if your face is prone to acne

Acne, or acne vulgaris, is caused by increased production of androgens, hyperkeratosis at the openings of the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles leading to blockage of sebum secretion channels, infection by Propionibacterium acnes and other infections, and inflammatory reaction of the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles. Symptoms can be alleviated by topical medication, systemic medication, and physical therapy as follows. 1. Local medication: you can first wash with saline to ensure that the local dry, clean, and then apply retinoic acid ointment, which has the effect of exfoliation, if there is an inflammatory reaction, you can apply erythromycin ointment, clindamycin ointment, fusidic acid ointment and so on. 2. Systemic medication: For more serious acne, oral antibiotics can be used for systemic treatment, such as doxycycline, minocycline hydrochloride, etc. For those who have more oil and keratin, oral isotretinoin can be used. 3. Physical therapy: for mild and moderate lesions, you can consider doing photodynamic physiotherapy, and then combined with red and blue light irradiation treatment if necessary; if there is scar formation, you can consider laser treatment. Face acne should go to the hospital in time, the above drugs need to comply with the doctor’s instructions for treatment. Usually pay attention to skin hygiene, adhere to warm water cleaning, as little as possible during the treatment with cosmetics.
