What does moderately differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma mean?

Moderately differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma is the most common histologic type of colorectal cancer and is a type of bowel cancer.
Tubular adenocarcinoma belongs to the pathological description indicating the formation of glandular tubular structures in the cancerous tissue, and moderately differentiated refers to the degree of malignancy of the tumor. According to the degree of cellular differentiation and heterogeneity of cancer cells and glandular ductal structures can generally be divided into three grades, grade I is highly differentiated and the degree of malignancy of the tumor is low, grade II belongs to moderately differentiated, which represents an intermediate degree of malignancy, and grade III belongs to poorly differentiated, which represents the highest degree of malignancy as well.
Cancer in the early stage can be treated by surgical resection, and the cure rate in the early stage is relatively high, and the five-year survival rate of patients after treatment can reach more than 90%. For patients with middle and late-stage cancer, in addition to surgical resection, radiotherapy is also needed for treatment. Radiotherapy can help prolong the survival time of patients with advanced cancer to a certain extent.
The earlier the cancer is treated, the higher the possibility of cure, and patients are advised to go to the hospital as soon as possible to receive professional treatment.
