Enhanced CT can see progressive intestinal tumors, and it is difficult to visualize early intestinal tumors.
Since the intestinal lumen of the human body is a hollow organ, most of the intestinal tumors usually come from the epithelium of the intestinal mucosa. In the early stage of the tumor, there is no obvious nodule formation, but only some changes in the local mucosa, such as the presence of bulging, depression or rough mucosa, etc. In this case, it is difficult to get accurate judgment by using enhanced CT for observation.
When the tumor in the intestinal tract develops deeper infiltration, exceeding the surface of the mucosa, or has grown to the muscle layer, it is possible to observe it by enhanced CT, and for early intestinal tumors, it is recommended to use intestinal endoscopy.
For people with high risk of intestinal tumors, regular colonoscopy is recommended, which can achieve early detection and early diagnosis of intestinal cancer.
