There is no Shaoyang point as such; there are the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian and the Hand Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian, and the Guanchong, Liquid Gate, and Zhongzhu points on these two meridians can be used to treat headaches.
Guanchong can be used for headache, deafness, redness of the eyes, tinnitus, strong tongue, and other head and face disorders of the five senses; heat stroke, heat illness.
Zhongzhu can be used for headache, laryngeal paralysis (pharyngeal redness, swelling and pain, or dryness, foreign body sensation, or pharyngeal itching and discomfort, dysphagia), deafness, tinnitus, and other head and face disorders; malaria, febrile illnesses; shoulder, back, elbow and arm pain, and inability to flex and extend fingers.
Liquid Gate can be used for headache, tinnitus, redness of the eyes, and other head and face disorders; arm pain; malaria.
Rate Valley can be used for migraine, vertigo; acute and slow convulsions in children (pediatric diseases with dizziness, convulsions and seizures as the main manifestations). Fubai can be used for headache, tinnitus, toothache and other head and face disorders.
Wan Bone can be used for headache, toothache, swollen cheeks, crooked mouth and other head and neck disorders; epilepsy; stroke.
