The sweet, cold and moist Earth Bone Skin can cool the Blood and eliminate vapor (eliminating the heat from inside the bones by clearing heat and cooling the Blood), and can be used in treating Yin deficiency, internal heat, bone vapor and night sweating, and can be combined with Yin Chai Hu, Zhi Mou, and Bao Jie Jia. It can be used to clear the heat in the lungs and lower the fire in the lungs. It can be used for coughing and asthma when the lungs are congested with evil heat and the gas is rebellious and not descending (the gas cannot be descended smoothly, but instead is upwardly reversed) (the gas cannot be downwardly reversed, but instead is upwardly reversed), and it can be used in combination with licorice and Sang Bai Pi.
