Cervical cancer vaccine is also known as HPV vaccine, the difference between bivalent, quadrivalent and nine-valent mainly lies in the different types of HPV viruses to be prevented and the different age groups of the vaccinated people.
1. The types of HPV virus prevented are different: bivalent vaccine targets HPV 16 and 18, quadrivalent vaccine has preventive effect on 6, 11, 16 and 18 HPV viruses, while the types of viruses prevented by the nine-valent vaccine are more comprehensive than those prevented by the two vaccines mentioned above, and it can prevent HPV 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52 and 58.
2. The age groups of the vaccinated population are different: bivalent vaccine can be vaccinated for women aged 9 to 45 years, quadrivalent vaccine is for women aged 9 to 45 years, while the nine-valent vaccine has a smaller age range and requires women aged 16 to 26 years to be vaccinated.
