What does tertiary thyroid mean?

Thyroid grade 3 refers to benign thyroid nodules. Clinically, when thyroid nodules are detected by ultrasound or color ultrasound, thyroid nodules are classified into grades 0-6 in order to determine the severity of thyroid nodules, where grade 0-3 thyroid nodules are benign, and grade 4-6 thyroid nodules suggest a higher chance of malignancy and cancer, thyroid grade 3 represents a less malignant thyroid nodule, which may be benign. The risk of malignancy is low, but requires biopsy for puncture. Therefore, there is no need to worry too much about the malignancy of thyroid nodules when thyroid test results show grade 3. It is important to keep a good attitude and to follow up regularly in order to observe the changes of thyroid nodules and prevent them from deteriorating. The thyroid gland grade 3 should be careful to avoid spicy and stimulating foods, maintain good habits and work and rest on time to help the thyroid function improve and recover.
