Can you take birth control pills if you have breast nodules?

Contraceptive pills are generally not recommended for patients with breast nodules because they contain estrogen and progesterone, which may stimulate breast nodules. Breast nodules are usually a relatively common breast disease and their occurrence is closely related to genetics, dietary environment and gynecological endocrine hormone disorders. Taking birth control pills may stimulate the continued growth of breast nodules and is therefore not recommended for women with breast nodules. When breast nodules are very small, there are usually no obvious clinical symptoms. As the breast nodule grows in size, the patient may experience symptoms such as painful breast swelling and tingling of the lump. In this case, it is necessary to go to the hospital regularly for ultrasound or mammogram examination. Patients with breast nodules are advised to take other effective contraceptive measures, such as condoms and IUDs.
