The throbbing pain in the left chest is considered to be related to trauma, intercostal neuritis, coronary heart disease and so on. 1. Trauma: when the left chest is hit, squeezed, punctured and other traumatic injuries, the left chest skin, ribs, muscles and local tissues are damaged and pain occurs. 2. Intercostal neuritis: Intercostal neuritis, due to viral infection, usually manifests as chest pain and pain radiating along the intercostal space, and when it involves the left intercostal nerve, it causes throbbing pain in the left chest. 3. Coronary heart disease: angina pectoris due to coronary artery stenosis caused by myocardial ischemia and hypoxia, may be manifested as a burst of pain on the left side of the chest, usually in strenuous activities or emotional pain attacks.
