Normally, the gallbladder is 8~12cm in length and 3~5cm in width, and it can store 40~60ml of bile, and when it is smaller than the above mentioned values, it is considered as gallbladder atrophy. If gallbladder atrophy is found, further abdominal ultrasound or abdominal CT examination is needed to clarify the gallbladder atrophy. The common clinical cause is multiple gallbladder stones repeatedly stimulating the gallbladder causing gallbladder scar, which leads to gallbladder atrophy, and requires surgical removal of the gallbladder in order to avoid causing the dysfunction of the gallbladder to secrete bile, and there is a risk of cancerous transformation. Patients usually need to pay attention to diet, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins, eat less high fat and high cholesterol food, avoid greasy, spicy and stimulating food, drink more water, appropriate exercise, which is helpful to the patient’s condition. Usually if there is any discomfort, go to the hospital in time, do not be careless, so as not to delay the treatment.
