How to take the most accurate body temperature

The body temperature should be measured in a calm state at room temperature, with the axillary or sublingual temperature as the main measurement site. Axillary body temperature should be measured for 3-5 minutes, and sublingual body temperature should be measured for more than 3 minutes. The measurement of body temperature should avoid sweating in the armpit or just after clamping a cold pack, and should wait for half an hour before measuring the body temperature to avoid errors. If the body temperature is >37℃, a sublingual temperature >37.3℃ can be defined as fever. It is also important to avoid taking the temperature during emotional stress or eating.
