Nephrotic syndrome is mainly large amount of proteinuria combined with hypoproteinemia, which is due to the following reasons: 1. Albumin is constantly excreted from the kidneys through the urine; 2. Gastrointestinal discomfort will slowly appear after having kidney disease, and the amount of protein intake will be reduced; 3. Under normal circumstances, the liver is a very important factory for the production of albumin, and when there is a large amount of proteinuria or there is a basis for liver disease, such as chronic hepatitis B or fatty liver, which leads to large amount of proteinuria loss, feedback requires the liver to produce more protein, but the liver is already abnormal, protein supplementation will not be very timely. Hypoproteinemia can be particularly severe in many patients with comorbid liver disease in the clinic. Therefore, after having nephrotic syndrome, patients are required to have a low-salt, high-quality low-protein diet, consume more high-protein foods, and appropriately replenish the lost albumin.
