How to test yourself for fatty liver

Fatty liver is a relatively common metabolic disease, mostly caused by dietary habits and lifestyle changes, and can be evaluated by yourself to determine if you have fatty liver. Fatty liver is mostly seen in patients who are obese or who have been drinking alcohol for a long time. If you are at high risk for the above mentioned phenomena, coupled with recent pain and discomfort in the liver area, recurrent nausea, fatigue, aversion to oil and other symptoms, you need to consider whether you are suffering from fatty liver. If your body mass index is significantly higher than your body mass index, you should consider fatty liver if you have near obesity. It is important to have liver function tests, blood lipids and liver ultrasound to further verify if you have fatty liver. If liver function is abnormal you will need to be treated with anti-inflammatory and liver-protective medications.
