What is hemorrhagic mold?

Hematomycosis is a bacterial blood disease that is commonly found in immunocompromised people. Hematomycosis generally refers to an infection caused by molds that invade the human blood system, multiply in the bloodstream and release toxins. Hematological mycoses are generally clinically categorized into three forms temporary, intermittent, and persistent. Transient hemorrhagic mycosis occurs most often during some surgical procedures such as dental surgery, or during the acute phase of some bacterial infections such as arthritis, and generally lasts from a few minutes to a few hours. Intermittent hemorrhagic mycoses are generally the invasion of bacteria into the body’s blood system from the site of infection, occasionally through extravascular abscesses, or infiltrative infections. Persistent hemomycosis is generally characteristic of infective endocarditis and intravascular infections. Hematomycosis is dangerous and may damage organ tissues throughout the body. Prompt medical attention and aggressive treatment are recommended.
