Left abdominal pain with nausea may be caused by physiological factors such as overeating, or by pathological causes such as irritable bowel syndrome and intestinal tuberculosis.
1. Physiological reasons: overeating, consuming too much spicy hot pot, ice cream, marinated meat, fried chicken, alcohol, ice cold soda, strong tea and other spicy and stimulating, cold and greasy food, which can irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa and aggravate the burden on the gastrointestinal tract, thus causing left-sided abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms.
2. Pathologic causes:
(1) Irritable bowel syndrome: mental, psychological, environmental, genetic and other factors can cause gastrointestinal dysfunction, without organic lesions, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite and other symptoms.
(2) Intestinal tuberculosis: Mycobacterium tuberculosis invades the intestinal tract, which can cause ring ulcers and granulomas on the intestinal mucosa, thus causing night sweats (abnormal sweating after going to sleep, and the sweating stops after waking up), afternoon low-grade fever, malaise, weight loss, anemia, and other symptoms, and also causing digestive symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, pain in the lower left side of the abdomen, loss of appetite, nausea, and other digestive symptoms.
Left abdominal pain accompanied by nausea, may also be caused by bacillary dysentery, left hemicolonic obstruction, etc. It is recommended to consult a doctor for a clear diagnosis and targeted treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
