Hazards of type d short finger syndrome

Hypodactyly d is an autosomal dominant disorder. In fact, acromegaly does not really refer to the fingers or toes, but rather to the shortening or loss of the metatarsals. The majority of people with this condition have a short fourth metatarsal, but occasionally the first metatarsal is short. The fourth metatarsal bone is easily involved when the patient walks in a normal posture. The main manifestations are short or missing finger bones and shortened metacarpals, so the fingers become shorter. There is no effective cure for this disease, surgical incision can be made to saw off this metatarsal bone and then elongate it.
