What do multiple and solitary gallbladder polyps mean?

Multiple gallbladder polyps are defined as more than two polyps, and solitary refers to a single polyp. A gallbladder polyp is a lesion that originates from the wall of the gallbladder and protrudes or bulges into the lumen of the gallbladder. Most patients are asymptomatic and are usually detected during a physical examination. Multiple gallbladder polyps are the presence of more than two non-neoplastic polyps in the gallbladder, such as cholesterol polyps and inflammatory polyps. Multiple polyps of the gallbladder are mostly benign in terms of pathology, so patients do not need to be overly nervous, and regular checkups are sufficient. Gallbladder solitary polyps, most of them are single gallbladder polyps, generally single gallbladder polyps have a higher chance of malignant changes. It is recommended that patients with single or multiple gallbladder polyps need to go to a regular hospital in time, can be under the guidance of the doctor, relevant examinations and standardized treatment. Patients need to eat a balanced diet and reduce the intake of high cholesterol foods, such as egg yolks, fatty meats, duck liver and so on.
