What is the difference between a calcified foci and a stone?

The difference between calcified foci and stones lies in different causes, different locations and different treatments.
1. Different causes: Kidney stones are mainly caused by high concentration of solutes in the urine, crystals precipitate and gradually grow into stones; gallstones are usually caused by the accumulation of bile. Calcified foci are usually caused by inflammation and tuberculosis, local tissue calcium salt deposition.
2. Different locations: stones are commonly found in kidneys, ureters and gallbladder; calcified foci can be found in kidneys, liver, prostate and lungs.
3. Treatment: according to the size and location of the stones, observation, medication or surgical removal of the stones is appropriate; calcification foci are mainly treated for the primary cause of the disease, and the calcification foci themselves do not require special treatment, and observation is the main focus.
