How to determine varicocele grade

There are four grades of varicocele. That is, subclinical type, degree I, degree II, and degree III. A comprehensive judgment can be made based on visualization, palpation, Valsalva maneuver, and imaging. 1. Subclinical type means that when resting or performing Valsalva maneuver, varicocele can not be seen or there are no obvious symptoms, but it can be detected in the imaging examination. (The Valsalva maneuver is a maneuver in which one holds one’s breath after inhaling forcefully and then exhales forcefully with a tightly closed vocal fold). 2. Grade I means that the varicose vein is not obvious on palpation, but can be palpated during the Valsalva maneuver. 3. Degree II means that there is no obvious abnormality in appearance, but the varicose vein is palpable on palpation. 4.III degree means that the varicose veins are like earthworms, and the varicose veins can be clearly detected on visualization and palpation. You should also ask your doctor about the specific grade of varicose veins.
