How anterior pelvic tilt is caused

The causes of anterior pelvic tilt include physiologic and pathologic factors, such as obesity, prolonged wearing of high-heeled shoes, lumbar spinal stenosis and so on. 1. Physiological reasons (1) Obesity: in obese patients, the abdomen is larger, the center of gravity of the body moves forward, and the pelvis also appears to be tilted forward. (2) Wearing high heels for a long time: some female patients wear high heels for a long time, in order to maintain balance, leading to the forward shift of the center of gravity, which leads to the phenomenon of anterior pelvic tilt. 2. Pathological reasons: patients with lumbar spinal stenosis can have lumbar and leg pain because of the narrowness of the spinal canal and the compression of the cauda equina nerve in the spinal canal; patients can increase the volume of the spinal canal by tilting the waist forward to alleviate the pain, which can lead to anterior pelvic tilt in the long run. There are many other reasons that can lead to the phenomenon of anterior pelvic tilt, it is recommended that such patients go to a regular hospital, consult a professional doctor, and cooperate with the doctor to complete the relevant examination, to clarify the cause, to avoid blind treatment.
