Troche is a targeted therapy drug used to treat lung cancer and is an oral formulation. A box of seven tablets of the domestically produced drug costs about 3,000-4,000 yuan. The cost of treatment is about four boxes per month, which costs nearly 10,000 yuan a month. The main component of Troche is erlotinib hydrochloride, which is mainly used for locally advanced, or metastatic, non-small cell lung cancer that has received, or has failed at least one chemotherapy regimen. It has been shown to be effective, and most patients have been able to extend their life span with it. Some patients may experience some adverse effects while taking this drug, such as diarrhea, but most can tolerate them.
