A decayed cavity that keeps bleeding for a long time may be caused by a long period of untreated caries and the formation of polyps in the surrounding gingival portion, which presses on the capillaries, or it may be caused by pulpal hyperplasia in the decayed cavity, which results in the formation of polyps. The former can be treated by removing the polyps and decayed tooth and closing the cavity; the latter requires root canal treatment to relieve inflammation and fill the cavity.
1. If the bleeding is caused by polyps pressing the capillaries around the cavity, you should go to a regular hospital, remove the polyps, clean up the decayed dental tissues, and use zinc oxide and clove oil under the guidance of a physician to temporarily close the cavity. When the gums around the cavity return to normal and stop bleeding, the cavity will be closed completely.
2. If the bleeding is caused by polyps formed by pulpal hyperplasia in the cavity, you can go to the hospital to remove the polyps and go through root canal treatment to relieve pulpal inflammation and repair the cavity to help stop the bleeding.
