Common causes of insufficient breast milk

The biggest reason that affects the amount of breast milk produced is psychological. It is normal for a mother to worry that she is not producing enough milk. If many of your friends are having problems with insufficient milk, you may be more worried. The truth is that for the vast majority of mothers, you have enough milk for your baby, to trust your body and to believe that your child is actually controlling your milk supply. It is a false concept that the mother’s body is not reaching the desired amount of milk for whatever reason. There are times when we are disturbed in the process of breastfeeding, for example: sometimes the mother gets the wrong information; sometimes the baby does not eat the mother’s milk in time, medical interventions in childbirth sometimes prevent a good start to breastfeeding; or people from outside say that your milk is not good (or that you do not have enough milk). In addition, some women have structural problems that make breastfeeding difficult for them, such as breast surgery, breast or nipple problems. These problems can interfere with a mother’s milk production, but most of them can be solved and there are many ways to improve milk supply. If these interferences are not present, the mother’s milk is perfectly adequate!
