Drink more water or less water for diarrhea

Diarrhea, or diarrhea, is clinically called acute enteritis. If it is caused by a cold, inflammatory irritation, infection, etc., it is generally recommended to drink more water, light salt water if possible. This is because diarrhea is more frequent and can easily lead to dehydration and electrolyte disturbance in the body. Therefore, drinking more light salt water appropriately is beneficial to replenish electrolytes in the body, prevent hyponatremia, and prevent water disorders. For chronic diarrhea, ulcerative colitis or intestinal dysfunction, there is no specific requirement to drink water in general. Therefore, for acute diarrhea, it is recommended to drink more water appropriately. If the number of diarrhea is particularly high, drinking water alone does not solve the clinical manifestations and requires medications, such as antidiarrheal drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs and symptomatic treatment with drugs regulating the spleen and stomach.
