There are numerous types of anti-inflammatory drugs used for nebulization, and drugs such as amikacin, gentamicin, tobramycin, ticarcillin, polymyxin, and polymyxin E are commonly used in clinical practice. By nebulizing such anti-inflammatory drugs, it can assist in controlling respiratory infections and also reduce airway colonization and assist in anti-inflammatory therapy. Generally it is not possible to use penicillins, cephalosporins, macrolides, anti-tuberculosis drugs for nebulization. Nebulized anti-inflammatory drugs are mainly suitable for chronic infectious diseases of the lungs, such as pulmonary cystic fibrosis combined with Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection. However, it should be noted that although nebulized anti-inflammatory drugs have certain curative effects, it is not easy to carry out anti-inflammatory treatment through nebulized anti-inflammatory drugs for a long period of time, because it can lead to the production and increase of drug-resistant bacteria, which makes it difficult to control the degree of infection. Nebulizing anti-inflammatory drugs is only an auxiliary anti-inflammatory treatment, not a conventional treatment, for lung substantial infection, patients need to use systemic drugs in order to better control their infections.
