Can you be successful if you are constipated after a transplant?

Whether or not an embryo transfer procedure is successful after the procedure has nothing to do with constipation symptoms. The occurrence of constipation symptoms after a fertilized egg transfer procedure is neither a sign of a successful transfer nor does it mean that the transfer has failed. Fertilized egg transfer is a primary method of addressing infertility, and not many people have a successful one-time transfer; most require several transfers before they are successful. To determine whether a transplant has been successful, a blood HCG test can be done about two weeks after the transplant to be sure. In order to improve the success of the fertilized egg transfer, progesterone should be used consistently for a period of time after the transfer for fertility preservation. Care should also be taken to avoid strenuous exercise and heavy labor and sexual stimulation after the transplant procedure.
