Do you need to fast to check if you’re pregnant?

Fasting is usually not required for a blood test to check for pregnancy, but it is required for liver and kidney function tests and diabetes screening.
The blood test is usually done to determine the level of human chorionic gonadotropin, or HCG, in the blood, which can be used to determine the development of the fetus in the uterus, and can normally be done about 9 days after conception.
Normally, the test can be done about 9 days after pregnancy. After pregnancy, the HCG level rises dramatically, which has nothing to do with diet and usually does not affect the test result, therefore, fasting is usually not necessary.
Before the test, women should avoid staying up late, rest more, keep a happy mood, and not be nervous, so as not to affect the test results.
