Treatments for advanced gastric cancer include surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immuno-targeted therapy and so on.
1. Surgery: palliative surgery such as gastrostomy is feasible in advanced stage, together with chemotherapy and other measures to relieve obstruction.
2. Radiotherapy: for surgically resectable or potentially resectable locally advanced gastric cancer, preoperative simultaneous radiotherapy and chemotherapy can achieve a higher surgical resection rate and significantly downstage the tumor, thus improving the long-term prognosis.
3. Chemotherapy: palliative chemotherapy can be carried out to alleviate the clinical symptoms of the tumor, in order to improve the quality of life and prolong the survival period, commonly used drugs include capecitabine, cisplatin, paclitaxel and other drugs.
4. Immunotargeted therapy: For advanced gastric adenocarcinoma with HER2 gene overexpression, molecular targeted therapy drugs such as trastuzumab can be used on the basis of chemotherapy.
The above drugs should be used under the guidance of clinicians and should not be used without authorization; if gastric cancer is suspected, it is recommended to go to the hospital for consultation in time.
