Is it contagious to share a bed with a mycoplasma patient?

Sleeping in the same bed as a patient with Mycoplasma infection can be contagious, so try to avoid contact. Mycoplasma is transmitted sexually, from mother to child, by respiratory droplets and by contact, of which sleeping in the same bed is a form of contact, sexual or respiratory droplet transmission. Direct contact with the patient and his/her personal belongings may result in transmission of mycoplasma, which is contact transmission; no contact, which can be transmitted by respiratory droplet transmission, which can result in pulmonary mycoplasma infections; and sexual contact, which is sexual transmission and can result in infections of the reproductive system. Therefore, it is recommended not to sleep in the same bed with a patient with mycoplasma infection, and also to avoid direct contact with their personal belongings or to disinfect them properly before contact. If close contact has occurred, it is necessary to consult a doctor in a timely manner, serum mycoplasma antibody, mycoplasma culture and other tests, and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
