Hepatotomy C-reactive protein is detected by different methods, the normal value is different, if immunodiffusion or turbidimetric method is used, C-reactive protein 98μg/L is not serious.
C-reactive protein is a class of polar proteins, when the body is subjected to tissue damage and the body is infected with plasma in the sharp rise in the protein, C-reactive protein can enhance phagocytosis and activate the phagocytes and complement and play a role in conditioning, can clear the invasion of the body of pathogenic microorganisms and apoptosis, damage and necrosis of cells. Usually C-reactive protein is detected by immunodiffusion or turbidimetric method, and the normal value range is 800~8000μg/L.
If C-reactive protein is 98 μg/L it means it is within the normal range and may be normal for patients undergoing liver resection. Also surgical stress can lead to elevated c-reactive protein, so a C-reactive protein of 98 μg/L for hepatectomy indicates normal.
If there is a high C-reactive protein after hepatectomy, this may be caused by adverse postoperative reactions, and the presence of infection cannot be ruled out. Usually, simple high C-reactive protein can be considered without special treatment for the time being, and the index can gradually return to normal after a period of time. If it continues to increase for a long time, it is recommended to clarify the diagnosis in time and treat the cause.
