Which department to check the axillary lymph

Depending on the specific cause of the swollen axillary lymph nodes, the patient can be seen by different departments during the axillary lymph node examination. If a patient has swollen axillary lymph nodes due to malignant tumor of the breast or acute mastitis, the patient needs to consult breast surgery. For swollen lymph nodes caused by neoplastic lesions, excision of malignant breast tumor and lymph node dissection should be performed as soon as possible; for swollen lymph nodes caused by acute mastitis, anti-infection treatment can be strengthened to promote slow regression of swollen lymph nodes. If the patient has swollen axillary lymph nodes caused by malignant tumor of the lung or lung infection, he should consult the thoracic surgery department to improve the CT examination of the chest to clarify the nature of the lung lesion and take active treatment to make the swollen axillary lymph nodes subside slowly. Third, if the patient has superficial lymph node enlargement caused by hair follicle inflammation in the armpit, he can consult the general surgery department and reduce the hair follicle inflammation by applying local topical Ruyi Jinhuang cream or dynamic iodine gauze to promote the gradual absorption of the enlarged lymph nodes.
