TEP stands for total extraperitoneal laparoscopic hernia repair, which is the same as the traditional surgery. TEP is an extraperitoneal surgery, that is, a posterior hernia surgery, which requires the entire pubic foramen to be freed and a flat sheet to be inserted, which can cover the internal orifice of hiatal, rectal and femoral hernias. Therefore, after TEP surgery, basically all three hernias can be prevented and treated.
