Mycoplasma is an atypical pathogen that causes a wide range of clinical infections. Mycoplasma can lead to multi-system infections such as mycoplasma pneumonia, or urethritis. Typically, mycoplasma testing involves drawing blood for mycoplasma antibodies. This test usually produces results in 1-2 days, but the results are not very accurate and may be false negatives. A more accurate test is to isolate the mycoplasma from the body fluids at the site of infection and culture it, but the culture requires higher technical conditions and the results are slower, taking more than 7 days to come out, so it is not particularly useful as a guide for clinical treatment. Mycoplasma can also be detected by the condensation set test, which has a certain significance in diagnosing mycoplasma infection if the titer is greater than 1:32. The results of the coagulation test are generally available in 1-2 days.
