Can Cagliflozin tablets lower urinary protein?

Patients with diabetic nephropathy are treated with Cagliflozin, which can lower both blood glucose and urinary protein. Cagliflozin belongs to SGLT-2 inhibitor, selective inhibition of SGLT-2, resulting in decreased glucose reabsorption in renal tubules and increased urinary glucose excretion, thus lowering blood glucose, and at the same time, it can constrict the incoming small arteries and diastole outgoing small arteries, reduce glomerular pressure, reduce urinary protein, and have a protective effect on the kidneys. Adverse effects of kagliflozin include hypotension, ketoacidosis, acute kidney injury, urinary tract infection, etc. Kagliflozin is contraindicated for those who are allergic to the drug components, have severe renal damage, or are in need of dialysis. Cagliflozin needs to be used under medical supervision.
