How to treat vitreous clouding and mild retinal detachment

Physiologic vitreous clouding is often considered for clinical observation and generally requires no specific treatment. Pathologic vitreous clouding requires medication, surgery, and other treatments. Slight retinal detachment can be considered for treatment modalities such as medication, laser, and surgery to promote recovery. Physiologic vitreous clouding due to old age and high myopia is often considered for clinical observation. For pathologic vitreous clouding caused by retinal hemorrhage, drugs such as oral Yunnan Baiyao capsules can be considered in the early stage to promote the absorption of hemorrhage, and surgical treatments such as vitrectomy should be considered in severe cases. Most of the minor exudative retinal detachment consider treating the primary disease, such as treating diabetes mellitus and hypertension, which need to be treated with glucose-lowering drugs such as metformin tablets or antihypertensive drugs such as indapamide tablets. Surgical treatments such as laser closure of the fissure and vitrectomy are mostly considered for mild foramen ovale or pull retinal detachment. Patients with vitreous clouding or retinal detachment are advised to seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
