Recovery of right ankle fracture usually takes 8 to 12 weeks.
The first 2 weeks after the fracture is the hematoma inflammation mechanization period, the 8th to 12th week is the original bone scab formation period, the fracture broken end has been stabilized, reached the basic healing state. The complete recovery of the fracture will take about 1 year to 2 years.
After fracture surgery, we should pay attention to careful care, early bed rest, avoid lower limb weight bearing, balanced diet, early attention to functional exercises, etc., which can accelerate the healing of the wound and help the patient’s body to recover as soon as possible.
Six weeks after ankle fracture surgery, if the fracture heals well, the plaster cast can be removed and part of the ankle joint can be weight-bearing. At 8~12 weeks after surgery, the patient can walk with full weight bearing.
