Is it epilepsy when a child has a fever and convulsions?

Every time a child has a fever convulsion it is usually not epilepsy, but mostly febrile convulsions due to high body temperature. Epilepsy is a chronic brain dysfunction due to a variety of reasons, mainly over-discharge of neurons in the brain, resulting in malfunction of the central nervous system. Seizures are characterized by screaming, generalized convulsions, and clonus, which can stop on their own after the seizure. Convulsions in children with fever are usually caused by high body temperature, especially when the body temperature is greater than 39 degrees Celsius easy to occur; generally in children before the age of six, the development of the nervous system is still imperfect, convulsive symptoms will occur in high fever, generally after the age of six years old rarely have a seizure; the seizure of febrile convulsions is shorter, manifested as a sudden loss of consciousness, eyes upturned, squinted, shortness of breath, and limbs shaking with a strong force.
