Causes of diarrhea after eating too much watermelon

Diarrhea after eating too much watermelon may be caused by physiological reasons such as overeating, or it may be caused by pathological reasons such as acute gastroenteritis and ulcerative colitis.
1. Physiological reasons: watermelon contains a lot of sugar, eating too much watermelon may increase the burden on the stomach and intestines, stimulate the gastrointestinal mucosa to secrete mucus and other substances, resulting in diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms; or watermelon eating while drinking ice-cold sodas, alcohol, strong tea, coffee, spicy hot and other stimulating foods, will also be stimulated by the digestive tract mucosa.
