How to treat esophageal achalasia

Patient: Description of the condition (onset time, main symptoms, hospital visited, etc.): Difficulty in swallowing meals, had to be served with water to slowly swallow, regurgitated acid upward or even vomited after eating dinner, and had frequent pain in the chest. I was diagnosed with esophageal flaccidity at the county hospital and was prescribed some medicine, but the effect was not obvious after taking it. What should I do to treat these symptoms, what should I pay attention to in general, where is a specialist hospital for these conditions, and how much does the surgery cost? Thank you! I hope to have a prompt answer. Li Xiaohua, Department of Thoracic Surgery, Jinan Central Hospital: Cardia atelectasis is a group of functional neuromuscular lesions of the lower esophagus. The general manifestation is intermittent difficulty in swallowing, which gradually worsens, and in severe cases, the esophagus can be highly dilated and distorted. Treatment is usually pharmacological and dilatation therapy in the early stages, and the effect is often uncertain. If symptoms are severe or if barium meal fluoroscopy suggests that the esophagus has become dilated, myotomy of the cardia is recommended as the best option. Esophageal stents are not effective and bleed easily and are not recommended.
