Treatment of corns on the soles of the feet can be prescribed medication (e.g. corns ointment) or surgical treatment, physical therapy and so on.
1. Medication: Plantar corns can be treated by applying salicylic acid ointment to the affected area. Soak your feet in hot water, then remove the softened cuticles and apply salicylic acid ointment. Repeat the treatment until the corns fall off.
2. Surgical treatment: such as corns exfoliation, first in the soles of the feet under local anesthesia, along the edge of the keratinous plugs to make a circular incision, peeled off to remove the corns, wrapped in sterile gauze after the operation. Surgery can remove hyperplastic keratin, but the damage is large, slow recovery, may lead to scarring.
3. Physical therapy: you can also go to the hospital for local carbon dioxide laser, freezing and other ways to remove corns.
Corns on the soles of the feet need to be diagnosed and treated in a timely manner to avoid delaying the disease. The medication should be used according to the doctor’s prescription, do not self-medicate.
