Calf rehabilitation can be categorized into calf muscle rehabilitation and calf fracture rehabilitation. Calf muscle rehabilitation includes heel lift training, ankle flexion and extension, and so on. Calf fracture rehabilitation includes muscle strength training and joint mobility training.
1. Heel lift training: Inhale and lift the heel, pause for two seconds at the highest position, exhale and put it down. It can be done in sitting position or standing position to enhance the calf muscle strength.
2. Ankle Flexion and Extension: Step down and hook your toes up to complete ankle flexion and dorsiflexion activities. Exercise calf muscles.
3. Muscle strength training: early calf fracture can be isometric muscle contraction, straight leg raising training, etc., to prevent muscle atrophy caused by joint braking and prolonged bed rest. After healing, standing, walking and weight-bearing training can be carried out to further exercise the muscle function.
4. Joint mobility training: after the fracture of the calf gradually heals, joint flexion and extension activities can be carried out to complete the training of joint mobility and prevent adhesion of the tissues around the joints caused by long-term braking.
Patients with calf disorders need to exercise under the guidance of a doctor to avoid causing damage to the organism.
